Description

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is seeking a reliable supplier of compressed gases and dry ice for its National Center for Toxicological Research (NCTR) and the Arkansas Human and Animal Food Laboratory (ARHAFL) located on the Jefferson Laboratory Campus (JLC) in Arkansas. The contract will be for a period of 5 years, with a guaranteed minimum of $5,000 and an estimated maximum of $1,200,000. The supplier will be required to provide multiple types of compressed gases and dry ice, including compressed air, and to deliver and install all required equipment, including cylinders, dewars, tube trailers, bulk tanks, vaporizers, regulators, telemetry devices, and associated piping. The supplier will also be required to provide a quarterly status report and to cooperate with the FDA in the event of a transition to a new contractor. Some key points to consider include: • The contract will be a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract. • The supplier will be required to provide a transition plan as part of their proposal. • The FDA will evaluate the proposals based on factors such as performance requirements, transition plan, and price. • The contract will include clauses related to Section 508 accessibility standards and the Buy American Act.
