Description
The Jefferson Parish Department of Drainage is seeking bids for the purchase of one new sluice gate assembly and one portable actuator to be installed at the Harahan Pump to River Pump Station. The sluice gate assembly must meet specific requirements, including a total channel, frame, and gate assembly width of 10 feet, a total height of 227 inches, and a stem diameter of 2-1/2 inches. The portable actuator must be suitable for use on a nominal 460-volt, 3-phase, 60 Hz power supply and must meet specific requirements for motor power, gearing, and control.
• The sluice gate assembly must be capable of withstanding a design head of 20 ft and must be able to provide sealed closure for the head condition from either side of the gate.
• The portable actuator must be able to guarantee gate closure at the specified differential pressure and temperature.
• The sluice gate assembly and portable actuator must be delivered to the Harahan Pump to River Pump Station, and all freight must be included in the base bid.
• The vendor must provide a qualified field representative for a minimum of two working hours before Jefferson Parish personnel installs units, and two hours after installation to provide guidance and train Owner’s personnel in routine maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
• The vendor must provide a manual containing the instructions for installation, operation, and maintenance of the sluice gates, including detailed information on the terms of the 5-year warranty on the products.
