Description
The Department of State Hospitals (DSH) is seeking a qualified plumbing contractor to provide on‑call, as‑needed, and after‑hours plumbing repair services for its Metropolitan State Hospital facilities. The work includes routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and replacement of plumbing components, with full compliance to California Plumbing Code, prevailing‑wage rules, and extensive safety and security requirements. Up to three contracts will be awarded on a lowest‑priced, responsive and responsible basis, with optional small‑business and DVBE preference adjustments.
• Scope: Full‑service on‑call plumbing repairs (including emergency response within 2 hrs).
• Duration: Contract runs from October 30 2026 to June 30 2028 (≈20 months).
• Requirements: C‑36 plumbing license, DIR registration, security clearance, background checks, insurance/bonding, and mandatory attendance at a bidder’s conference on September 18 2026.
• Awards: Up to three contracts; small‑business/DVBE preferences may reduce the effective bid price by up to 5 %.
