Byron Jackson Pump Rebuild

The City of Omaha is seeking bids for the rebuild of a Byron Jackson Model 35 PMR 1 Stage Vertical Flow Pump. The contractor will be responsible for disassembling the pump, cleaning and inspecting all components, and replacing any parts that are not to OEM specifications. The contractor will also be responsible for transporting the pump to and from the rebuild facility, and for installing the rebuilt pump at the Papillion Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant. The contractor must follow the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction 2003 3rd Edition and provide a warranty for a period of one year after the start-up of the pump. Key responsibilities include: • Uncoupling of motor from pump • Disconnecting all bolts required for removal of pump • Rigging the pump and the motor to be removed by the City provided crane • Providing all required fittings and hardware • Rebuilding the pump to OEM specifications • Delivering the pump to the site and installing it • Witnessing motor direction done by City before pump is coupled to motor • Performing balance alignment per OEM specifications between pump and motor
