Pre-Cancer MRI Screening Services for Vancouver Fire Rescue Services (VFRS)

Vancouver Fire Rescue Services is seeking a qualified provider to deliver comprehensive pre‑cancer MRI screening for its firefighters. The contract will cover the full diagnostic pathway—from scheduling and performing pelvis‑to‑head MRI scans, through physician requisition, dual‑reporting (clinical and lay‑person), to follow‑up consultation and detailed utilization reporting. The service must be capable of handling roughly 150 scans per year (≈12‑13 per month) over an initial two‑year term, with the possibility of up to three one‑year extensions. The vendor must demonstrate appropriate equipment, qualified medical personnel, compliance with BC privacy legislation, and robust data‑security and insurance coverage. • Provide 1.5 T (or equivalent) MRI scanning capacity for ≈150 firefighters annually. • Deliver clinical reports and plain‑language results within 5‑10 business days, plus in‑person or virtual follow‑up. • Supply monthly/quarterly utilization dashboards covering screening numbers, abnormal findings, referral pathways, and urgency classifications. • Maintain all required licences, WorkSafeBC coverage, professional and cyber liability insurance, and adhere to the City’s Fair‑Wage policy. • Submit an all‑inclusive per‑screening price (annual total) in the Financial Proposal Form.
