Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs Western New York Healthcare System is seeking procurement of 56 replacement sleep surfaces for its fleet of CHG Spirit & Spirit Select Low Beds. The sleep surfaces should meet specific technical requirements, including a therapeutic support surface with grid-like gel material, removable/replaceable top and bottom covers, and a breathable cover to assist in moisture management of the skin. The procurement is set aside for SDVOSB businesses only, and the evaluation will be based on a Best Value protocol considering price, conformance to technical elements, and past performance.
• The sleep surfaces should have an overall length of 84 inches, overall width of 35 inches, thickness of 6 inches, and a safe working load of 500 lb.
• The sleep surfaces should meet US flammability standards and have a foam crib and base that provides stability and lateral support.
• The sleep surfaces should have an expected service life of ten years under normal use and with appropriate periodic maintenance.
• The procurement includes delivery and installation of the sleep surfaces at the Batavia VAMC location.
