Description
The West Virginia Department of Tourism is seeking a vendor to provide crane and certified operator services to lift, move, and set one historic locomotive and one historic coal shuttle car. The vendor must provide a crane with sufficient rated capacity, a certified operator, and all necessary rigging and equipment. The work must be completed by June 30th.
• The locomotive has approximate dimensions of 9 feet 10 inches in width, 12 feet 4 inches in height, and 22 feet 6½ inches in length, and weighs 50 tons.
• The shuttle car has approximate dimensions of 8 feet 9 inches in width, 5 feet 3 inches in height, and 27 feet 3 inches in length, and weighs 20 tons.
• The vendor must provide proof of insurance, including commercial general liability and workers' compensation.
• The vendor must also provide a written Lift Plan prior to performing the work.
