Notice Of Intent To Sole Source - AVID Center, Inc.

The Richland School District Two is seeking to enter into a sole source contract with AVID Center, Inc. for the provision of professional development and instructional materials to support the implementation of AVID's research-based instructional framework. The district has been an AVID school district since 1998 and has achieved significant recognition, including having one of only two schools in the state recognized as a National Demonstration School. The contract amount is $150,000. The key aspects of this opportunity include: • Providing ongoing, high-quality professional development through the AVID Summer Institute • Access to AVID aligned instructional materials and other AVID PD • Supporting educators in implementing AVID's research-based instructional framework (WICOR: writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, and reading) • Improving student achievement and college and career readiness outcomes
