Description
The Department of the Air Force is conducting market research to identify contractors capable of installing and later removing holiday lighting and décor at Edwards Air Force Base. The effort is a Sources Sought notice; no funds are currently obligated and responses are for capability information only. The contractor would install LED lighting on up to 30 street‑light poles, a main Christmas tree, and associated wiring, provide a push‑button or photocell control system, ensure waterproof connections, perform minor electrical repairs, and remove all installations in early January. The Government will supply all décor materials; the contractor must transport them from a storage building, provide labor, and comply with security and licensing requirements.
• Install LED holiday lighting on up to 30 existing street‑light poles (≤25 ft) and a main tree.
• Connect power to government‑owned fixtures, verify 120‑V requirements, and make minor outlet repairs.
• Install and later switch a push‑button or photocell control system for the ceremony.
• Perform a site walk (now removed) and coordinate with 412th CES Service Contracts Section.
• Transport materials ~5 mi from Building 3610 to the installation sites and back for turn‑in.
• Remove all decorations during the first week of January and return materials to the Government.
• Comply with Air Force security, licensing, vehicle registration, and insurance policies.
