Description

The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is seeking to purchase four (4) Manta+35 Water Quality Probes, multiparameter sondes for monitoring water quality in fresh, brackish, and marine environments. The probes should support discrete sampling, profiling, and self-powered datalogging, with real-time cloud-based data via telemetry and optional remote collection with an external battery. Standard sensors include turbidity, temperature, pH, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen, with optional chlorophyll A sensor and wiper system to reduce biofouling. The specified brand/model illustrates desired characteristics and is not intended to limit competition; vendors may propose a State of Iowa-approved equivalent, providing full specifications with their quote. • The DNR is seeking four (4) water quality sondes. • The sondes should have standard sensors including turbidity, temperature, pH, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen. • The sondes should have optional sensors including chlorophyll A and a wiper system to reduce biofouling. • The sondes should support discrete sampling, profiling, and self-powered datalogging. • The sondes should have real-time cloud-based data via telemetry and optional remote collection with an external battery.
