Dietrick Allergen Free Station

The project involves the demolition of the existing Olive's Shop in Dietrick Dining Hall on Level 2 to construct a new Allergen-Free Station. The project area is approximately 933 sq ft. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, and accessories for the work indicated, unless noted otherwise. The work shall be complete and in accordance with the construction documents, manufacturer's recommendations, generally accepted industry standards of workmanship and care, and as required for a finished installation and to obtain a certificate of occupancy. Some key features of the project include: • Demolition of existing walls, ceiling, and plumbing/electrical re-work • Installation of new walls, ceiling, and plumbing/electrical systems • Fire-resistance assemblies and firestopping • Means of egress and accessibility features • Compliance with Virginia Tech's safety requirements and telecommunications infrastructure design guidelines The contractor shall verify all conditions in the field prior to submitting a bid and shall coordinate with the owner's activities and other trades involved with the work at the project site.
