Year 2026 WAIRE Mitigation Program

The South Coast Air Quality Management District’s 2026 WAIRE Mitigation Program offers grant incentives to reduce NOₓ and diesel‑PM emissions from warehousing activities by supporting the purchase of zero‑emission trucks and the installation of electric‑charging or hydrogen‑fueling infrastructure. Funding of $73.1 M is allocated across 37 Source‑Receptor Areas (SRAs) with per‑truck caps ranging from $60 k to $240 k and infrastructure caps of $300/kW (electric) or $8 k/kg‑day (hydrogen). Applicants must be warehouse operators or fleet owners, must purchase (no lease) and retain ownership of trucks for three years, and must locate projects within the granting SRA for at least three years. Applications are accepted online beginning 13 Oct 2026, with a final deadline of 15 Dec 2026; funding is awarded on a first‑come, first‑served basis until each SRA’s allocation is exhausted.
