Preventative Maintenance and Calibration of Lab Pipettes

The State of Iowa is seeking a vendor to provide annual calibration and preventative maintenance on lab pipettes used by the Iowa DCI Crime Laboratory. The contract will be for a term of 2 years, with the option to renew for up to 5 annual extensions. The vendor must be ISO/IEC 17025 accredited and provide services to an ANAB/ASCLD Lab accredited crime laboratory. The scope of work includes calibration and preventative maintenance of single and multichannel pipettes, as well as providing certificates with As-Found and As-Left data. • The vendor must provide a one-year warranty at no additional cost. • The vendor must ensure that repair or calibration is performed in accordance with the background information of the request for bid. • The vendor must have access to Rainin and Gilson parts to repair pipettes owned by the laboratory. • The vendor must provide measurement of uncertainty (MOU) data for each pipette. • The vendor must provide references from one crime laboratory for which the vendor has performed calibrations. • The vendor must provide a calibration certificate for each pipette that includes serial number, manufacturer, pipette type, pipette size, environmental factors, measurement and test equipment, parts and repairs, and statistics and sample data.
