Phillipsburg Board of Education is seeking a qualified independent contractor to provide student transportation services for one defined route (Route 116) that serves both public‑ and non‑public‑school students, including a special‑education student who requires a harness and a personal bus aide. The contractor must supply inspected school buses equipped with two‑way communications, full‑coverage DVR systems, and appropriate safety gear, and staff each bus with qualified drivers and aides who meet New Jersey background‑check and health‑testing requirements. The contract runs from early July 2026 through late June 2027 and includes extended school‑year service in the summer months.
• Provide school‑bus transportation for all enrolled students on Route 116, adhering to the district’s morning and afternoon schedules.
• Equip each bus with a DVR interior/forward‑facing camera system, communication devices, and a harness‑compatible seat for the special‑needs student plus an on‑board aide.
