Request for Proposals for Library Smart Cards

The Queens Borough Public Library is seeking proposals to supply and implement a full suite of smart library cards. The contract will cover the design, production, personalization, and delivery of smart cards that enable self‑check‑out, RFID‑based inventory control, and secure patron authentication. The Library expects the vendor to handle card printing, embedded chip programming, and integration with existing library management systems, as well as provide ongoing support and replacement services as needed. • Provide design and artwork approval for the smart card format. • Manufacture and personalize RFID‑enabled cards per the Library’s specifications. • Integrate the cards with the Library’s current circulation and patron management software. • Deliver the cards to the Library’s main and branch locations, and offer training on usage and maintenance. • Offer warranty, support, and replacement services for a defined period after deployment.
