Description
The City of Essex Junction is seeking qualified contractors to rehabilitate the primary and secondary clarifiers at its Water Resource Recovery Facility (35 Cascade St). The scope includes removal, repair, and coating of all steel immersed in the tanks (walls, rake arms, drums, miscellaneous piping), concrete floor restoration with grout injection and resurfacing, and coating of the internal side of an aluminum skirt on Primary Clarifier #1. An optional alternate allows for rehabilitation of atmospheric steel on Primary Clarifier #1. Bids must be sealed, submitted by 2:00 PM on 10/8/2026, and be accompanied by a bid guaranty of at least 5 % of the bid amount. The contract must be completed within 120 calendar days after a notice to proceed (anticipated start 5/31/2027).
• Primary Clarifier #1 – steel immersion, concrete floor, optional atmospheric steel, aluminum skirt coating.
• Secondary Clarifier #1 – steel immersion, concrete floor.
• All work per city specifications and contract documents (available on request).
• Non‑mandatory site visit by appointment only.
• Bid guaranty required; no withdrawal within 30 days of opening.
