Transportation Services for Pre-School Children with Special Needs

The Steuben County is seeking a contractor to provide transportation services for pre-school children with special needs. The contract will be for a period of 10 months and a summer program (July and August). The contractor will be responsible for providing secure, safe, and economical transportation for the children. The contractor must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the New York State Labor Law and the Social Security Act. Some key points to consider: • The contractor must have sufficient inventory, equipment, and staff to fulfill its responsibilities. • The contractor must comply with the disclosure requirements specified in 42 CFR Part 455, Subpart B. • The contractor must abide by all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. • The contractor must provide access to PHI and EPHI in its possession to the Covered Entity or, as directed by the Covered Entity, to an Individual. • The contractor must mitigate, to the extent practicable, any harmful effect that is known to the Business Associate of a Use or Disclosure of PHI and EPHI by the Business Associate in violation of the terms of this Agreement.
