Young At Heart Type 2 Diabetes Research Longitudinal Protocol between Children’s National Hospital (CNH) and NIDDK

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to negotiate and award a contract without providing for full and open competition to Children’s Research Institute for a research longitudinal protocol on type 2 diabetes in youth. The contract will include all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2026-01. The research collaboration agreement is being processed to support research activities and coordination between Children’s National Hospital and the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center. • The contract is for a research longitudinal protocol on type 2 diabetes in youth. • The research collaboration agreement is being processed to support research activities and coordination between Children’s National Hospital and the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center. • The contract will include all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2026-01. • The contract is not expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold of $350,000. • The contract is being awarded under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
