Description
The US Air Force is seeking a Catholic priest to provide religious services to the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Community at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in North Carolina. The contractor will be required to perform various services, including weekend and daily masses, sacraments, weddings, baptisms, and pastoral counseling. The contract will be for an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) with a task order structure. The contractor must be a validly ordained Roman Catholic priest in good standing with the bishop of his diocese or the superior of his religious order. Some key points about the job include:
* The contractor must provide all personnel, travel, administrative, preparatory efforts, and performance of work necessary to perform the services.
* The Government will provide liturgical materials for services.
* The contractor will be required to maintain liaison with the Chapel POC and/or COR before and after all services.
* The contractor must have knowledge of military customs and courtesies or be willing to learn.
* The contractor must be able to work cooperatively with chaplains, religious affairs airmen, and other chapel contractors in an ecumenical/interfaith setting.
* The contractor must be sensitive to the Chapel’s multi-faith mission.
* The contractor must present a clean, neat appearance and be easily recognized (e.g., Clergy wear).
* Smoking is not permitted in any government building or work area.
* The contractor must comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding environmental protection.
* The contractor must report all contractor labor hours required for performance of services provided under this contract.
