Description
The City of Gadsden is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors to perform Nuisance Abatement Grass Cutting Services on City Lots, State Lots, Private Lots, and Land Bank Authority Lots within the City of Gadsden, Alabama. The contract will be for one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods. The contractor will be responsible for providing grass cutting and debris removal services, including removing all paper, bottles, debris, tires, and other items from the properties. The contractor must have the necessary equipment, including a 30 HP tractor, 4' minimum rotary cutter attachment, vehicle or trailer, string trimmer, blower, and lawn mower. The contractor must also have the necessary personnel to fulfill the obligations of the contract.
• The contractor must submit an invoice for payment every two weeks for each lot cut during the preceding two-week period.
• The contractor must take photographs of the area before and after the work is completed to verify the height of the grass.
• The contractor must direct clippings away from adjacent lots, parked vehicles, sidewalks, roadways, gutters, drainage inlets, houses, outbuildings, or any other structures.
• The contractor must not use any form of herbicide during the execution of this contract.
• The contractor must have and maintain adequate staffing, personnel, and equipment to fulfill the obligations of the contract.
• The contractor may be asked to mow property on short notice and must be prepared to handle these requests within 48 hours.
