Description
The State University of New York (SUNY) Plattsburgh is seeking proposals from executive search firms to provide executive search and recruitment services for the selection of a Vice President for Institutional Advancement. The selected firm will provide all recruiting services to the search committee, including analyzing leadership needs, developing recruiting strategies, coordinating advertising and recruiting, managing correspondence and applications, and conducting background checks. The contract term is one year, and the estimated first-year annual salary for the Vice President position is between $210,000 and $225,000. The cost proposal should be a flat fee and not exceed $74,999. Key responsibilities of the Vice President for Institutional Advancement include providing strategic leadership and vision for the university's advancement programs, developing and implementing comprehensive strategies to build engagement with alumni, donors, and community partners, and serving on the President's Cabinet.
• Develop and implement recruiting strategies for the Vice President position
• Coordinate advertising, recruiting, and screening to create a pool of viable candidates
• Manage correspondence and applications from interested candidates
• Conduct background checks and verify credentials of semi-finalists
• Provide feedback about references at various points in the process
• Organize and schedule confidential off-campus interviews
• Assist the search committee in drafting a recommendation report to the campus President
