RFI for KC-46 Electrical Boom Test Bench (ETB)

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), KC-46 System Program Office (WLC), is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of manufacturing and delivering eight modernized Electrical Boom Test Benches (ETB). The ETB is a highly specialized piece of support equipment required to perform critical operational load and avionics testing of the KC-46 Pegasus Aerial Refueling Boom (ARB). Potential sources must be able to manufacture a system capable of interfacing with the unique electrical and avionics architecture of the KC-46 Pegasus ARB, executing precise digital handshakes, and simulating heavy electrical load profiles. • The ETB must be able to interface exclusively with the KC-46 Pegasus ARB's electrical and avionics architecture. • The system must be able to execute precise, secure digital handshakes with the ARB's avionics. • The ETB must be able to simulate heavy electrical load profiles identical to actual flight conditions. • The system must be capable of safely and accurately interrogating the ARB electrical systems.
