MINE HUNTING IN CHALLENGING ENVIRONMENTS PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT (MHCE PA) ACOUSTIC COMMUNICATIONS (ACOMMS) EXP

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) intends to award a sole source contract to DelResearch, LLC for the Mine Hunting in Challenging Environments Participation Agreement (MHCE PA) Acoustic Communications (Acomms) Exp. The contract will be a firm fixed price contract with a base CLIN and 5 option CLINS for various testing events. The requirement is not suitable for full and open competition because DelResearch has the knowledge and experience with their proprietary modems and experiments. The project aims to advance Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) based mine hunting in complex undersea environments. • The contract will be for a period of 5 years. • The project involves the use of Popoto acoustic modems developed by DelResearch. • The tests were performed under contract numbers N6133123P0112 and N6133124P1095. • The tasking required for this effort is in addition to/continuation of the research that was performed on the aforementioned contracts.
