Description
The Department of Natural Resources, Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation, is seeking a qualified contractor to provide an online reservation system for Alaska State Parks at no cost to the State of Alaska. The system should be able to handle reservations for 96 public use cabins, 47 pavilions and facilities, 10 seasonal ice huts, and a portion of the campsites from 76 campgrounds owned and managed by Alaska State Parks. The system must be a comprehensive booking and reporting solution with a level software as a service (SaaS) solution, hosted and supported by the contractor, with no need for Alaska State Parks to purchase or maintain servers or information technology (IT) staff. The system must also be Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) Level 1 compliant and undergo annual independent audits.

• A web-based solution accessible from any location without the need for special configurations or additional software
• A simple user interface with a flexible, user-friendly workflow for all transaction types
• The ability to reserve group campsites with variable pricing based upon occupancy
• The ability to reserve one or more bunk units within a shared sleeping facility under a single transaction
• The ability to reserve picnic pavilions utilizing a time block structure with variable pricing based upon occupancy
• The ability to book public use cabins, group use facilities, multi-bunk units, and campsites
• The ability to migrate data from a website or existing reservation system if needed
• The ability to create and process gift cards and migrate existing gift card values, if necessary
• The ability to absorb transaction fees into the pricing structure
• The ability to set pricing based on zip code of billing address or set parameters
• The ability to customize a customer confirmation letter and ability to add attachments to that letter
• The ability to incorporate discount codes or coupons
• The ability to recognize and track DPOR issued camping passes
• The ability to manage permit issuances that involve complex regulations.
