RFI 264927 Supplemental Budget EMS Reimbursement Funding

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health is seeking input on the process of administering grant funding to reimburse municipalities for extraordinary emergency medical services (EMS) costs. The Department will be administering these grants in accordance with Section 2A of Chapter 14 of the Acts of 2025, which made $5,000,000 available. The Department is seeking input from the EMS community on criteria and considerations which may direct how these funds are allocated. • The grant funding is for reimbursing municipalities for extraordinary EMS costs. • The recipient must be a municipality, though not necessarily a municipal-based ambulance service. • The Department is seeking input on the process of administering the grant funding. • The grant funding is available in accordance with Section 2A of Chapter 14 of the Acts of 2025.
