Description
The County of Alameda is seeking a qualified, California‑licensed physician (MD or DO) board‑certified in Emergency Medicine to provide comprehensive medical oversight for the Alameda County Fire Department’s Advanced Life Support (ALS) and First Responder ALS programs. The contractor will review patient care reports, controlled‑substance logs, infection‑control policies, and EMS education curricula; produce quarterly and annual quality‑improvement reports; advise on protocol compliance; and participate in meetings (both in‑person and virtual). The contract is for three years with an optional two‑year renewal, and requires continuous physician availability, backup coverage, and adherence to federal, state, and local EMS regulations.
