Asbestos Cement Water Main Replacements

The City of Goose Creek is seeking qualified contractors to replace aging asbestos‑cement water mains with new C900 PVC pipe, install associated valves, fittings, and fire hydrants, and tie‑in to the existing distribution system. The scope includes demolition of existing pipe, installation of approximately 3,080 LF of 6‑inch pipe, 840 LF of 8‑inch pipe, and five new fire hydrants, plus full system integration and abandonment of the old mains. • Replace 3,080 LF of 6‑inch C900 PVC water main. • Replace 840 LF of 8‑inch C900 PVC water main. • Install five fire hydrants and complete system tie‑ins/abandonment of existing asbestos‑cement mains. • Provide all necessary valves, fittings, testing, and certification to meet local utility standards.
