Description
The Phillipsburg Board of Education is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive student transportation services for the 2026‑27 school year on Route 108, including regular, special‑education, and non‑public‑school routes. The contract requires ownership and operation of school‑bus‑type vehicles equipped with DVR systems, qualified drivers and aides, compliance with New Jersey transportation statutes, and the ability to meet strict scheduling, insurance, bonding, and reporting requirements. Service begins July 6, 2026 and runs through June 25, 2027.
• Provide school buses (registered, inspected, equipped with two‑way radios/cell phones and DVRs) and spare vehicles for uninterrupted service.
• Supply drivers and aides who meet background‑check, licensing, health, and training standards, and report any driver suspensions within 1 business day.
• Deliver monthly invoicing (by the 10th) and receive payment (around the 30th), maintain required insurance ($1.5 M per occurrence) and performance bond equal to the annual contract value, and submit a 5 % bid guarantee (capped at $50 k).
