Description
The Bureau of Reclamation is seeking a contractor to troubleshoot and repair the brake system of the Shasta Dam elevator. The contractor will need to provide a comprehensive inspection, diagnostic evaluation, and repair of the brake system faults. The contractor will also need to perform a full commissioning of the brake system to ensure compliance with applicable safety codes and manufacturer specifications. The project requires two qualified personnel with expertise in troubleshooting and repairing KTR brake systems and MCE controllers to be present on-site. The project duration is approximately 60 days from the award date.
• Resolve brake system faults
• Brake system must operate within manufacturer-specified tolerances for stopping distance, holding force, and response time
• All repairs must comply with ASME A17.1/CSA B44 Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators
