Description
The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking qualified vendors to provide fuel and fuel tank services to the Pacific Junction Maintenance Garage. The contract will be for an initial term of 18 months, with optional renewals for up to four additional 12-month periods. The vendor will be responsible for providing fuel, including diesel fuel, bio-diesel additive, winter, and summer additives, as well as tank lease/rental services. The vendor will be required to meet certain specifications and requirements, including fuel quality, tank specifications, and delivery procedures.
• The estimated annual usage of fuel is listed, but the actual quantities delivered may vary.
• The vendor will be required to provide a metered ticket at the time of delivery, showing gallons delivered.
• The vendor will be responsible for removing any vendor-owned equipment from DOT properties within 30 days of the expiration of the agreement.
• The contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder whose submission is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, considering cost and other factors.
• The Iowa DOT is a tax-exempt agency, and tax exemption certificates will be provided upon request.
