Description
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is soliciting research initiatives to support the strategic objectives of the FHWA Office of Bridges and Structures and the tactical needs of the bridge and tunnel program areas. The research topics include steel bridges, concrete bridges, load rating of bridges and tunnel structures, seismic and multi-hazard resilience, bridge and tunnel security, bridge and tunnel safety technology, and fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composite technology. The FHWA is looking for innovative ideas for dissemination and technology transfer to practice. The project concept papers will be evaluated based on technical merit, and selected offerors will be invited to submit a formal proposal.
