Fall Planting of Selected Trees RFP

The City of Pontiac is seeking a contractor to plant 300-450 trees of various species to restore the city's urban forest and improve environmental and community benefits. The project aims to restore tree canopy, improve neighborhood environmental quality, and strengthen urban habitat and resilience. The contractor will be responsible for planting the trees and ensuring that the work is completed within the specified timeframe. The city is looking for a contractor with relevant landscaping experience, technical competence, financial capability, and the ability to perform the work. • The project is funded by the American Forests Urban & Community Forest Initiative. • The city is seeking a contractor who can demonstrate relevant landscaping experience, technical competence, and financial capability. • The contractor will be evaluated based on experience and qualifications, capacity to perform the work, quality of product, comparable project history, and cost. • The contract term is for 150 days from the date of execution, and the city reserves the right to terminate the contract for convenience or cause.
