Custom Generative AI Platform

The Division of Information Technology of Virginia Tech is seeking to deploy a custom generative AI platform for use by all eligible faculty, students, and staff. The platform will leverage the existing business relationship with Microsoft and the current infrastructure investment in the Microsoft Azure cloud platform to create a generative AI platform with access to private instances of frontier large language models (LLMs), such as those produced by OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google. • The platform will be used by faculty, students, and staff. • The platform will be built on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. • The platform will have access to private instances of frontier large language models (LLMs). • The project will leverage the existing business relationship with Microsoft.
