Z--Conlon Creek Culvert Removal & Restoration, GOGA

The National Park Service is seeking a contractor to perform the Conlon Creek Culvert Removal & Restoration project at the Golden Gate National Recreation Area in California. The project involves the removal of an existing culvert and the restoration of the creek channel and banks. The work includes site preparations, clearing and grubbing, removal of existing rock slope protection, installation of rock weirs and grade control structures, and permanent erosion control measures. The contractor will be required to follow strict environmental guidelines and regulations to protect the park's natural resources. The project is expected to be completed within a permissible work window of June 15 to Oct. 15. • The contractor will be responsible for mobilization and demobilization, including set-up and removal of staging areas. • The contractor will be required to install and operate a water diversion system to maintain a dewatered channel during the work. • The contractor will be responsible for selective demolition, including the removal of existing culverts and headwalls. • The contractor will be required to perform earthmoving, including excavation and grading of the creek channel and banks. • The contractor will be responsible for installing permanent erosion control measures, including erosion control blankets and fiber rolls.
