Water Treatment Plant Sedimentation & Flocculation Basin Rehabilitation Project

The City of Yuba City is seeking a qualified engineering consultant to provide professional engineering services for the rehabilitation of the rectangular flocculation and sedimentation basins at the City's Water Treatment Plant. The project includes a comprehensive condition assessment, rehabilitation alternatives evaluation, design, bidding assistance, and services during construction. The consultant will be responsible for ensuring long-term reliability, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience of the basins. The scope of work includes restoration of structural integrity, rehabilitation or replacement of mechanical components, design of immersion coating systems, and development of phased construction sequencing. Key considerations include maintaining required treatment capacity and operational redundancy during rehabilitation, as well as ensuring compliance with applicable industry standards and regulations. • The project requires a comprehensive condition assessment of the flocculation and sedimentation basins. • The consultant must have relevant experience and demonstrated expertise in potable water treatment facilities, concrete rehabilitation, mechanical process equipment rehabilitation, and phased construction within active water treatment plants. • The project involves rehabilitation of structural, mechanical, and coating systems, as well as design and construction management services. • The consultant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable industry standards and regulations, including ACI 562, AWWA, and NSF/ANSI 61. • The project requires phased construction sequencing to maintain required treatment capacity and operational redundancy during rehabilitation.
