Course Evaluation Software System RFP

This Request for Proposal (RFP) is issued by the State University of New York at Stony Brook on behalf of the State University of New York (herein after referred to as “SUNY”) to solicit proposals for course evaluation software system, for the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching department to the State University of New York at Stony Brook, Stony Brook, NY 11794, as herein described in accordance with this SUNY at Stony Brook RFP 25/26-150MC and exhibits and attachment attached hereto and made part of this RFP. This project is primarily intended to facilitate the collection and reporting of students’ course evaluations so that faculty and administrators can more efficiently improve instructional effectiveness at SUNY. To accomplish this goal, SUNY is seeking a comprehensive, easy-to-use, customizable, and secure web-based software system for collecting and reporting anonymous evaluations. This project will be implemented across all academic units at the university. It is expected that the course evaluation system will accommodate the following user types across all our academic units: System Administrators, School/College and Department Administrators, Faculty and Course Instructors, Undergraduate and Graduate Students. This will include users with multiple roles (e.g. a Graduate Student, who also instructs a course). The system must also be able to accommodate team taught and cross-listened courses for evaluation. SUNY is looking for software built on a recognized, widely supported technology platform.The system must be web-based and mobile-responsive. The selected bidder will be responsible for onboarding the SUNY institution smoothly through the following deliverables: data migration (extraction, transformation, and loading of multiple years of historical SUNY data into a new system), system training (delivery of comprehensive, extended training for system administrators, departmental administrators, and faculty users), and ongoing professional development (preferred consideration will be given to vendors offering recurring annual or semesterly group training sessions for faculty and administrative staff).
