J065--Intent to Sole Source Cellavision System Maintenance

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to issue a sole source solicitation for the repair and preventive maintenance services of the CellaVision DM1200 hematology laboratory equipment at the VA Central Iowa Health Care System (VACIHCS) in Des Moines, Iowa. The contractor will be required to provide software updates, periodic preventive maintenance, perform repairs, and replace parts as necessary to keep the system operating within manufacturer specifications. The contract will be awarded to Sysmex America, Inc., but other responsible firms may submit written notifications and capability statements prior to the response due date. • The equipment to be serviced includes the CellaVision DM1200 hematology laboratory equipment with serial number 34004. • The contractor shall provide all replacement parts needed to keep the equipment in operating condition as originally designed by the manufacturer. • The contractor shall maintain sufficient qualified personnel to meet the performance standards, including during primary technician unavailability. • The contractor shall provide and utilize procedures and checklists with worksheet originals indicating work performed and actual values obtained, provided to the COR at completion of the PM.
