Single Stream Recycling

The County of Sacramento is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to process and market residential Single-Stream Recyclables (SSR Materials) for a term of 48 months, starting from July 1, 2026. The selected contractor will be responsible for processing and marketing SSR Materials generated from the County's North Area. The contractor will receive a minimum of 5,000 tons of SSR Materials per fiscal year. The payment for SSR Materials will be based on the Commodity Market Value per commodity per ton, Contractor Processing Cost, and California Redemption Value (CRV) Funding. • The contractor must have demonstrated experience in processing and marketing residential SSR Materials. • The contractor must provide a comprehensive marketing plan for all outbound commodities. • The contractor must have a receiving facility that can accommodate County collection vehicles and meet delivery requirements. • The contractor must have a comprehensive plan for safety practices and protocols. • The contractor must have current permits, licenses, and regulatory compliance.
