N063--Service Contract Emergency Code Calling System

The Department of Veterans Affairs, San Diego VA Health Care System, is seeking a Life Safety Radio frequency System Design and Installation. The system must be a fully standalone radio frequency broadcast system for hospital emergency code calling, meeting all federal guidelines, including FCC Part 15 and National Codes. The vendor must provide all labor, supervision, materials, parts, hardware, equipment, testing supplies, and transportation required to design, install, and test the system. The system must be self-sufficient, have Emergency Life Safety Branch power, and normal power with built-in UPS system redundancy. Some key points of the project include: * The system must cover the entirety of the San Diego VA campus, including all floors, stairwells, and elevators of the buildings. * The system must function on a radio frequency of 413 MHz. * The vendor must provide a detailed plan for designing and implementing the system. * The vendor must identify potential dead zones and present findings to the VA for review and solution. * The system must meet all federal and compliance guidelines, including FCC Part 15 and National Codes. * The vendor must provide end users with multiple solutions for both radio frequency transmitting and receiving devices. * The vendor must supply and install additional life safety power for the system. * The contract includes a one-year service contract for maintenance support.
