Description
Tarleton State University is seeking a single qualified contractor to provide continuous, 24‑hour, armed security guard services at its Fort Worth campus for a five‑year term (with an optional five‑year renewal). The contractor must supply fully licensed and trained armed officers, uniforms, equipment, supervision, scheduling, reporting, and all administrative support required to protect students, staff, visitors, and university assets. The scope includes 24/7 coverage, incident response, coordination with university police, background screening, ongoing training, insurance, and compliance with Texas Department of Public Safety licensing requirements. The contract value is expected to exceed $100,000, and a HUB subcontracting plan is mandatory.
• Provide one armed security officer on duty at all times, 365/366 days per year.
• Maintain all required state licenses, firearms qualifications, and background checks for personnel.
• Deliver daily activity, incident, and patrol reports; maintain logs and records.
• Coordinate with Tarleton University Police for all law‑enforcement matters.
• Supply uniforms, identification, and equipment; ensure proper use‑of‑force policies.
• Offer a contract manager as primary point of contact and 24‑hour emergency line.
• Meet extensive insurance requirements (general liability, auto, workers’ comp, umbrella).
• Submit a VetHUB subcontracting plan aiming for at least 2 % HUB participation.
• Contract term: 5 years with one optional 5‑year renewal; option to adjust staffing levels as needed.
