Description
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is seeking bids for the rental of remote control mini loaders with operators. The loaders must have a minimum of 20 HP and a lift capacity of 500lbs, and be less than 45 inches tall and wide. The vendor will be responsible for providing the equipment and operator, as well as maintenance and repairs. The contract will be for a period of one year, with the option to extend for up to four additional one-year periods. The evaluation criteria will be based on price, with the lowest bidder receiving the highest score.
• The equipment must be in excellent mechanical working condition and approved for use by Department personnel.
• The vendor must provide pricing for each district they wish to bid on.
• The rental rate will be paid by the Transportation Cabinet only during the time the equipment is in actual use on the job.
• The minimum order per delivery order will be eight hours.
• The vendor will be responsible for all tolls for their equipment when traveling on toll roads.
• The vendor must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to employment and labor.
• The vendor must provide proof of insurance and maintain coverage throughout the contract term.
