Generator Site Additions

The City of Kyle is seeking Proposals for the Generator Site Additions project, which involves the construction of a new stand-by diesel engine generator with a weatherproof sound attenuated enclosure, sub-base fuel tank, generator slab, grounding system, automatic transfer switch, underground duct bank, conduit, and wire for various locations. The project is expected to cost approximately $3,000,000 and will be awarded to the responsive, responsible Proposer submitting the highest scoring Proposal. The Proposal will be evaluated based on the following selection criteria: 60 Points – Contract Price, 25 Points - Contractor’s Experience and Qualifications, and 15 Points - Proposed Schedule. Some key aspects of the project include: • The construction of a new stand-by diesel engine generator with a weatherproof sound attenuated enclosure • The installation of a sub-base fuel tank, generator slab, grounding system, automatic transfer switch, underground duct bank, conduit, and wire • The modification of existing electrical service racks, chain link fences, concrete pavements, and DFS panels • The construction of a new canopy with a minimum of 3 feet clearance from the service drip loop • The use of a augur to excavate for piers to minimize site impact The City of Kyle reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive minor informalities.
