Notice of Intent to Sole Source C2SQ Component

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Research and Development Center (ERDC), Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL) intends to issue a sole source award to Stumptown Research & Development, LLC to procure a C2SQ Component for the Blast Load Simulator (BLS-8). The C2SQ component will replace the existing component and will be designed to reduce negative artifacts of target loading caused by the shape of the current C2SQ section. The unique characteristics detailed are critical to the continuation of the GSL's mission and continued research in the Structural Mechanics Branch (SMB). • The C2SQ component must be designed to reduce negative artifacts of target loading caused by the shape of the current C2SQ section. • The component must be capable of producing a uniform blast waveform upstream of the target vessel. • The contractor must provide a description of their past experience in fulfilling requirements which are the same or similar to this requirement. • The contractor must also provide references for each past experience.
