Description

The Region 18 Education Service Center (Region 18 ESC) is seeking proposals for Employee Benefit Plans for eligible individuals and their dependents. The selected provider will be responsible for providing a range of benefits, including health plans, and will be expected to work with Region 18 ESC to manage the logistics of the enrollment process. The contract will be for a period of 24 months, with the option to extend for an additional two years. The proposal should include information on the provider's experience, qualifications, and plan details, as well as any deviations from the specifications. Some key points to consider are: • The provider must be authorized to do business in the State of Texas and comply with the Texas Insurance Code. • The provider must accept the Region 18 ESC's current Benefit Booklet/Document(s) and not exclude any actively at work or on leave employees and their dependents. • The provider must specify all deviations in their quotation from the solicitation requirements/specifications, existing coverages, and/or plan of benefits. • The provider will be responsible for processing post-run-off claims that are incurred but not paid. • The provider must provide evidence of their ability to service the group without imposing undue time requirements on the Planholder's employees.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $2,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is estimated to be in the range of $500,000 to $2,000,000 per year, based on the average number of full-time employees (104) and the typical cost of employee benefits. The actual budget will depend on the specific benefits and services provided by the selected vendor. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include: 1. The number of employees and dependents covered by the benefits plans. 2. The types and levels of benefits provided. 3. The administrative costs associated with managing the benefits plans. 4. The vendor's experience and qualifications in providing similar services.
