The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is seeking proposals from organizations to provide a high-quality, standardized web-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) application for collecting, storing, and reporting physical fitness assessment data for students in grades 3 through 12 in Texas public schools. The application must meet specific requirements, including the ability to generate student, campus, school system, and state aggregate reports, and provide a secure, password-reset option. The contractor must also provide a registration software system that enables Texas school systems to enroll for access and use of the SaaS application on an annual basis.
Some key features of the SaaS application include:
• Ability to collect, store, and report individual student performance data on four components with twelve assessments
• Ability to generate student, campus, school system, and state aggregate reports
• Secure storage of all collected data for the specified time period
• Ability to disable functions/features not aligned with Texas requirements
• Provides a secure, password-reset option
The contractor will be responsible for maintaining a secure database for the physical fitness assessment data and adapting the existing application to meet project requirements in collaboration with TEA staff.
