Notice of Intent to Sole-Source to Cherry Engineering

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a one-time, sole source, fixed price contract with Cherry Engineering, Inc. for the purpose of procuring disruptors for EOD training. The FBI has prepared a Sole Source justification on a basis of other than full and open competition for this acquisition. The key aspects of this opportunity include: • The contract is for a one-time procurement of disruptors for EOD training. • The contract will be a fixed price contract. • The FBI has prepared a Sole Source justification for this acquisition. • Cherry Engineering provides disrupters that are developed, manufactured, and distributed solely by that company. • The disrupters use proprietary technology and are used by other agencies as well as the FBI.
