E-rate (YR26-27) Network Infrastructure Upgrades at Selected Schools

The United Independent School District is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for network infrastructure upgrades, including wireless access points, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), campus core switches, and data center core switches. The project includes the replacement and upgrade of existing wireless access points at seven locations, the replacement of UPS equipment at four locations, the replacement of campus core switches at four high school 9th-grade campuses, and a refresh of the main data center core switches. The vendor must provide a dedicated Project Manager with at least five years of experience and knowledge in data cabling, networking equipment, and electrical systems. The project requires a turnkey installation, including all labor, supervision, and tools. Key requirements include: • Physical removal of old access points and installation of new ones • Connecting Ethernet patch cords and configuring a Link Aggregation Group (LAG) • Ensuring the new access point is online and communicating with the network controller • Labeling each access point physically and in the network controller • Updating the Wi-Fi map in ExtremeXIQ to reflect the new access point's location • High-Ceiling Installations: The vendor must account for installations in areas with high ceilings, such as gyms and cafeterias • The vendor is required to provide a fixed asset report with model number, serial number, and location, etc, per campus The district has standardized on Extreme Networks equipment, but vendors may propose equivalent products from other manufacturers that meet or exceed the specifications of the listed parts.
