Description
The Maryland Department of Transportation, State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) is seeking bids for janitorial services at its D2 Office, located at 615 Morgnec Rd, Chestertown, Maryland 21620. The contract will be for a period of 24 months, with an estimated start date of September 6, 2026. The successful bidder will be responsible for providing all necessary equipment, supplies, and labor to perform the required janitorial services, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and cleaning of restrooms and other areas. The contractor will also be required to provide a minimum crew size of 2 people, with a minimum of 4 hours of work per day.
• Key responsibilities include:
• Sweeping, mopping, and cleaning of floors and surfaces
• Cleaning of restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors
• Dusting and polishing of furniture and fixtures
• Emptying of trash and recyclables
• Cleaning of windows and blinds
• Maintenance of janitorial closet and equipment
The contractor will be required to provide all necessary equipment and supplies, with the exception of certain items that will be provided by MDOT SHA, such as trash bags and hand soap. The contractor will also be required to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to labor, safety, and environmental protection.
