Description
The State of Maryland’s Department of General Services is seeking a qualified small‑business contractor to provide comprehensive janitorial services for the Maryland Public Television (MPT) headquarters in Owings Mills for a three‑year, firm‑fixed‑price contract. The scope includes daily evening cleaning, Saturday floor‑care, restroom maintenance, lobby and office cleaning, special event support, and compliance with green‑cleaning and safety standards. The contractor must supply supervisory staff, a daytime porter, a pledge‑drive porter, floor‑care technicians, and a team of janitors, and must meet extensive training, documentation, and reporting requirements. The contract is limited to certified small businesses with a minimum 0.5 % MBE participation goal.

• Work hours: Weekday evenings (6 pm‑10 pm), Saturdays (10 am‑2 pm) for floor care; additional hours as needed
• Staffing: On‑site supervisor (≥3 yr experience), daytime porter, pledge‑drive porter (≈300 hrs/16 mo), floor‑care technician, janitorial crew
• Requirements: Certified small‑business status, 3 yr business history, 3 yr comparable janitorial experience, training on CDC protocols, green cleaning, safety, and documentation deliverables
