Description

The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) is hosting a Proposers' Day for the One Comprehensive Universal Radiotherapy for Everyone (1-CURE) program. The program aims to develop a revolutionary radiotherapy approach effective against all cancers with a single, rapid, and low-cost treatment. The 1-CURE approach involves integrating ultra-high dose rate (FLASH)-RT technology with multifunctional immunogenic smart radiotherapy biomaterials (SRBs). • The program is divided into two main technical areas: Technical Area 1 (TA1) focuses on developing immunogenic nanoparticle SRBs, and Technical Area 2 (TA2) focuses on establishing an Abscopal Treatment Planning System (ATPS) for low-cost FLASH-RT with immunogenic nanoparticle SRBs. • The Proposers' Day will include brief overview presentations, lightning talks, and private sidebar meetings between the ARPA-H team and potential proposers. • Attendees can submit one-page slides for lightning talks and teaming profiles to identify potential team members. • The program aims to accelerate healthcare outcomes for all Americans and save over $170B annually for the U.S. alone.

Budget estimate

$10,000,000 – $50,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is not explicitly stated, but based on the program's goal to save over $170B annually for the U.S. alone, it can be inferred that the budget for the program will be substantial. The actual budget will depend on the number of awards and the amount of funding allocated to each award. Considering the program's scope and goals, a rough estimate for the budget could be in the range of $10 million to $50 million. However, this is a very rough estimate and should be taken as a ballpark figure.
